Classroom Based Assessment

A new and exciting development for Junior Cycle students is the introduction of Classroom Based Assessments (CBAs). Students will engage with two CBAs in each subject at Junior Cycle.  These assessments are graded by the teacher and will be presented on the students Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) at the end of third year. After the second CBA students must complete an Assessment Task worth 10% of their Final Assessment which will be a state set and marked, two hour summative examination.
